Join local cycling enthusiast and instructor Aaron Pikcilingis for an Introduction to Commuting by Bike.
This two-part series includes a classroom session hosted at the library and an on-bike session where we'll put what we've learned into action. Led by experienced bike commuters and educators, this class will cover the benefits of commuting by bike, rules of the road and bike safety, advice on bikes and gear, route planning, and plenty of time for Q&A. The group ride, starting from the library on a separate date, will include a review of safety and group ride basics before heading out on a "practice commute" together.
Saturday, 5/2, at 9:30am: This Classroom session will meet in Morrissey Hall. Open to adults and older teens.
Saturday, 5/9, at 9am: The Group Ride will meet at 9am in front of the library for a quick safety overview and bike check before hitting the road at 9:30am. This session is limited to adult patrons only.
