Page of Enlightenment History Book Club

Thursday, June 97:00—8:30 PMOnline

We all know the adage, "those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Don't be a victim - instead join librarians Lauren Pfendner and Chris Tremblay for an engrossing read of historical nonfiction every month. June's selection is The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived the Great American Dust Bowl by Timothy Egan. A 2006 National Book Award Winner, Egan does equal justice to the terrifying drama of catastrophe and the human characters who become his heroes, “the stoic, long-suffering men and women whose lives he opens up with urgency and respect” (New York Times).

This book club for adults & teens will be held online through Zoom. Register to receive the link to join. Copies of the book will be available for pickup at the library. Questions? Email Chris Tremblay at ctremblay@minlib.net.
