Thursday, June 87:00—8:30 PMAssembly Room
Hybrid - online and in-person
We all know the adage, "those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Don't be a victim - instead join librarians Lauren Pfendner and Chris Tremblay for an engrossing read of historical nonfiction every month. June's selection is Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly. A New York Times bestseller, The Boston Globe describes the work as "Shetterly moves gracefully between the women’s lives and the broader sweep of history . . . Shetterly, who grew up in Hampton, blends impressive research with an enormous amount of heart in telling these stories."
This book club for adults & teens will be held in hybrid format - both online through Zoom and in person. Register to let us know you're coming and you will receive the Zoom link either way. Copies of the book will be available for pickup at the library. Questions? Email Chris Tremblay at ctremblay@minlib.net.
