Page of Enlightenment History Book Club

Thursday, July 117:00—8:00 PMOnline

We all know the adage, "those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Don't be a victim - instead join librarians Lauren Pfendner and Chris Tremblay for an engrossing read of historical nonfiction every month. July's selection is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, an engrossing tale of which Entertainment Weekly said "the story of modern medicine and bioethics--and, indeed, race relations--is refracted beautifully, and movingly."

This book club for adults & teens will be held online through Zoom. Copies of the book are available across from the Circulation Desk at the Library's temporary location in the Beech Street Center (266 Beech St.)
