Page of Enlightenment History Book Club
Thursday, December 127:00—8:00 PMOnline
We all know the adage, "those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Don't be a victim - instead join librarians Lauren Pfendner and Chris Tremblay for an engrossing read of historical nonfiction every month. December's selection is In The Kingdom of Ice: the grand and terrible polar voyage of the USS Jeanette by Hampton Sides. Sides tells the tale of a doomed ship and its crew on its mission of discovery in the late nineteenth century.
This book club for adults & teens will be held online through Zoom. Copies of the book are available across from the Circulation Desk at the Library's temporary location in the Beech Street Center (266 Beech St.)
