We all know the adage, "those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Don't be a victim - instead join librarians Lauren Pfendner and Chris Tremblay for an engrossing read of historical nonfiction every month. March's selection is Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann. Named a best book of the year in 2017 by Wall Street Journal, Time, Newsday, Bloomberg, Library Journal, Paste, Book Browse and many more, David Grann revisits a shocking series of crimes in which dozens of people were murdered in cold blood in Killers of the Flower Moon. Based on years of research and startling new evidence, the book is a masterpiece of narrative nonfiction, as each step in the investigation reveals a series of sinister secrets and reversals. But more than that, it is a searing indictment of the callousness and prejudice toward American Indians that allowed the murderers to operate with impunity for so long.

This book club for adults & teens will be held in hybrid format - both online through Zoom and in person. Register to let us know you're coming and you will receive the Zoom link either way.
