Thursday, May 117:00—8:30 PMAssembly Room
Hybrid - online and in-person

We all know the adage, "those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Don't be a victim - instead join librarians Lauren Pfendner and Chris Tremblay for an engrossing read of historical nonfiction every month. May's selection is The Island at the Center of the World: The Epic Story of Dutch Manhattan and the Forgotten Colony That Shaped America by Russell Shorto. The New York Times Book Review called Shorto's work "masterly . . . A new foundation myth . . .Shorto writes at all times with passion, verve, nuance and considerable humor.”

This book club for adults & teens will be held in hybrid format - both online through Zoom and in person. Register to let us know you're coming and you will receive the Zoom link either way. Copies of the book will be available for pickup at the library. Questions? Email Chris Tremblay at ctremblay@minlib.net.
