CANCELED - Simple Programming for Art

Tuesday, March 246:00—8:00 PMCommunity Classroom - 201Belmont Public Library - 336 Concord Ave336 Concord Ave, Belmont, MA, 02478

In this simple one-session course you will learn how to start using simple computer programming to create simple graphics artwork. NO previous computer programming experience is necessary. However, some basic computer knowledge – turning on the computer, using a word processor, and such is assumed of the students. Bringing your computer to class, with Python installed, is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. We hope to have YOU create art. The computer serves as our pen, brush, paints, and canvas all rolled into one.

We will discover and design the art we want, using the computer as a tool, as one would use the aforementioned tools to help create art. The computer often can draw straighter lines. We will start with amazingly simple figures and build more interesting structures.
