Join us for a virtual demonstration of patachitra painting by Indian women folk artists living in Midnapur, West Bengal. These types of paintings are used as a storytelling platform and traditionally made using only natural dyes. The artists will share some of the local plants and flowers they use to make their pigments and sing the songs that accompany the stories they depict. Host Swati Biswas will also give a presentation about this artist cluster and translate conversation with the artists.
